Continued Interview Series With Omaha SEO Expert Richie Richardson

As you all know, I’m looking to take Net Mesh into new heights this year.  My goal is to make it one of the top trafficked Internet marketing news blogs in the world.  I have huge plans for it, so in advance of this quest I’m talking to as many SEO experts that I can possibly grab some time with.  You may have read that (many times over) in fact, and you can see my talks with Chris Walker, a company based in the UK called Gorilla Marketing, and even Micah Laughmiller out of Dallas.  Talking to so many experts in the field of search engine marketing has really helped me gain unfair advantages when it comes to how I’m going to make a run at being the best blog out there on my topic.

Today I found a very interesting person to converse with.  His name is Richie Richardson, and he hails from Omaha, Nebraska.  You may not think many SEO’s come from Omaha, but let’s face it, in the world of digital marketing, people can live and work from anywhere.  That’s just the beauty of the business of working online.  Gone are the days when most people get up, get all primed and proper, and get to work, sometimes with public transportation, and stay in the Ivory Tower all day long or working retail, standing on their feet all day.  Cyberspace has opened up an entirely new ball game and it’s here to stay.  The Internet is the best invention since sliced bread, in fact.  (That’s a fact, Jack.)

Online Marketing

What I liked about Richie is he puts all his cards on the table. He does affiliate SEO and ranks his own sites and banks on them daily.  Affiliate marketing allows people like Richie to make sales of products they don’t have to fulfill.  This is passive income at it’s finest.  When Richie decided that he had time to help others do what he does best, he decided to open up his Omaha SEO agency to clients, since he had so much free time to help people.

In fact, he is so sure of his service that he guarantees a top page ranking for your website.  Not anyone else I’ve spoke to can offer such a guarantee.  For that reason, I’m going to keep speaking with him and see what he can do for my site.  Never know, there could be some serious opportunities for my blog if I can get on page one for keywords like “Internet Marketing blog.”

Continued Topic : My Interaction With a SEO Myrtle Beach SC

If you’ve followed along lately, you know that SEO (which is short for search engine optimization) is a topic I’ve had on my mind quite a bit.  It’s the art of gaining organic search engine traffic, and it’s truly just that – an art form.  Today I share with you another impressive company I’ve come across.  This time, they are located in South Carolina. So, today I share with you my SEO Myrtle Beach SC contact and will share with you a few of the things his company can do for you.

You may have read about SEO’s in other updates.  My last blog update spoke about an SEO from Houston.  A prior update spoke of another Texan, but this time in the Dallas / Fort Worth area.  You can read that update right here.  I’ve even talked to one from the UK.  Read that here.

Okay, so enough of my back story!  Let’s get right to who impressed me in a recent teleconference about SEO methodologies.

Meet Chris Walker of SuperStarSEO in Myrtle Beach SC

superstar SEO

When I reached out to Chris to learn more about him, I was immediately impressed with his clean, vibrant website.  I was happy to learn that he’s been in the IT industry dating back over ten years.  He began his SEO career in 2013 and also knows a variety of Internet Marketing methods.  His communication with me clearly showed that he’s capable of the claims he makes on his website.  He can help your business reach it’s full potential by offering PPC, SEO, Social Media, Reputation Management, and development of mobile applications.  His company “turns clients into superstars.”

His company may be located in South Carolina, but it can help you no matter where you are physically located.  The beauty of internet marketing is that the services and reach are global.

When you speak with many Search Engine Marketing companies, like I do, you get to hear a lot of the same stuff.  “We will rank your website.”  (Isn’t that the point?)  The thing I liked about SuperStarSEO is that they have accolades like being members of the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce.  That’s always a nice thing to be, knowing that you are dealing with someone who is in the public spotlight and not just some persona hiding behind their computer.  Being out there, and accountable, goes a long way with me.  Things like this led me to share with you my conversation with Chris, and to give him my full recommendation of someone who is “in the know” in the SEO community.

Guys and gals, I recommend SuperStarsEO with my full confidence.  It’s amazing what reaching out to people can do to help expand your network.  Take the time today to reach out to someone new, and build your network.  (Even if it’s on say LinkedIN or something like that.)

The Best Houston SEO I’ve Met

So as you guys know from my past blog updates, I’ve been talking to many people in the SEO space.  I talked about how I met Gorilla Marketing, which was very enlightening, as well as Micah, who was a Dallas SEO expert.  I really am thirsting for knowledge on the topic of growing my following here at Net Mesh, so I’m stopping at nothing to find out who knows their stuff, who can help me, and who I just should ignore.

What I’ve done lately is search for experts in certain cities.  A search for Houston SEO led me to today’s update, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.  The company I was most impressed with is called Real Marketing Results, and the owner, Jamie Boudreaux, was very knowledgeable about everything marketing related.  When you are new to a concept, like I am, you need someone who can dumb down the talk and put all this industry terminology in simple terms.

Entertaining video, but I don’t do business with stoners!

That’s exactly what Jamie did.  You’ll find out first hand when you see the gorgeous website they offer, and all of the 100% FREE seo information that they have on the subsequent pages.  I found myself immersed in information that led me to spend a lot of time on the website.  Almost like a stalker.   (Or more like an information sponge, more like it.)

However, it didn’t end there.  When I was able to connect on the phone, that’s where the real educating went down.

Digital Marketing Services in Houston

This is perhaps what set them apart from other guys in the digital marketing field in Houston – they offer so much more than just SEO and traffic generation.  They offer web design, and looking at their site, if they can deliver anything nearly as brilliant as their site, you’ll get a site that is super clean looking and professionally done.  It’s really a game changer as your website is your companies business card.  Let’s face it, a bad website will turn me off, and a good one will turn me on to doing business with someone.  That’s just me, but I know I’m not alone in thinking that.

They also offer the services of a virtual assistant, and let’s face it, we could all use one of those. I  know I’m looking to expand my team and grow this blog into something more special, so having some dependable people on my team is obviously a clear goal I need to work on.

I’ll be updating everyone on things as I progress with my SEO efforts.  Hopefully I can report some good wins soon.  In the mean time, I’m going to be interviewing many people along the way.  Hopefully I do as well as I did here in Houston with finding the great guys at Real Results Marketing.

Winners Secret Sauce: Persistence

Everyday startup business owners face management challenges of both small and large consequences. Your bankers are maybe reviewing your loan application or line of credit, or a competitor may unexpectedly trump your unique selling proposition with a new product a bit too similar to yours for comfort.  Some business days are roller coasters of emotions up and down in quick succession.  These type of tough times call for tough leaders and persistence, against seeming failure or defeat, separates the winners in both business and life from all-time losers.

One of my all-time favorite business success quotes is from our President Calvin Coolidge. This quote is framed above my desk with a note from my mother “to a persistent lady.” She knew that some days I need extra motivation to keep keeping on.

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not. Nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not. Unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not. The world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. – Calvin Coolidge

Recent studies from Drexel and Northwestern universities discovered that a sudden brainstorm of an idea or solution was actually “the culmination of a series of brain states and processed operating at different time scales.”  This is the technical description of persistent focus and viewing problems from many angles that guide the brain to synthesize this information into the classic “Eureka” moment that appears as sudden inspiration.

America’s favorite inventor Thomas Edison says. “the first step is an intuition – and comes with a burst – the difficulties arise.”  Here is where persistence comes to help you travel the road from idea to business reality.

Starting a business is a labor of love – so expect hot passion and long cold nights of persistence to reach the blissful union of business success.  You will have road blocks, frustrations, disappointments, joy, creativity, and big wins – but only if you remain persistent and continue to work on building your startup firm and not quit before success.

If you’re going through hell, keep going. — Winston Churchill

Sure you will need an excellent idea and some working capital but don’t forget the secret sauce – persistence. This extra dash of motivation is like the wind behind your back that propels you forward.  Almost any problem can be overcome with persistence. Surely you have heard that if you can’t go over the mountain, you can go around or tunnel under it. Persistence is the fuel of winners.

Ambition is the path to success. Persistence is the vehicle you arrive in. — Bill Bradley

Great you have goals and dreams, but the most important thing to take actions to realize them. Thinking alone never built a bridge or a successful business. Work is needed to turn your dreams into cash.

Winners are not born that way they have built them self up to win. They have harnessed motivation, ambition, and sheer doggedness to wrangle success out of life and so can you.

Don’t let that enemy of happiness, discouragement, get in front of you. Push him aside and march on.  Courage is a friend of winners and a foe of defeat.

Paralyze resistance with persistence. — Woody Hayes

If you want to win in life, keep going forward towards your goals, no matter what. The game only ends when you quit. Let persistence be your secret success sauce.

Energy and persistence conquer all things. — Benjamin Franklin

Why You Should Learn The Law Of Attraction

The law of attraction refers to the concept that the thoughts you think in your mind create your reality. In recent history, movies like The Secret featuring Bob Proctor has taken this concept mainstream. Throughout history, the rich, famous, and elite have always understood the law of attraction and have used it to get ahead in life. Unfortunately, this information has been withheld from the average person. In fact, the majority of people think negative thoughts more often then positive thoughts, therefore they get negative results.

The great self-improvement coach and author Bob Proctor says that your thinking controls nearly 100% of your results. By simply altering your thinking patterns and nothing else you will eventually

see a positive shift in everything you do. No matter how strong your willpower is, it will be impossible to resist the flow of the natural flow of the universe. For the last few years I have been working hard to improve all aspects of my life. At first the change was non-existent even though I was doing the affirmations and thinking positive thoughts. Over time though you begin to slowly see the fruits of your labor as great things just start happening in your life. The most challenging part for me was to convince my brain to stop thinking negative thoughts. It’s pretty normal for people to question things and think negatively.

In fact, modern society seems to be structured in such a way that we are consistently bombarded with negative information and fear. If you question this then simply turn on the news and you will see a constant stream of negativity being spewed at your daily. It’s nearly impossible to avoid negativity, so your best bet is to do your best to mitigate it in your life. This means that you should choose the people you hang out with very carefully. If your surrounded by people who are constantly complaining then that will effect you.  I recently did  survey of all the people in my life and found a startling discovery. The people who are positive and attempted to be in a good mood most of the time seem to be happier and more successful. On the other hand, the people who are constantly complaining that life sucks and they always get screwed seemed to be doing just that, constantly getting screwed. Many would say this is just a simply coincidence, but I firmly believe its more than that. If you study history you will hear the majority of great leaders and business people have followed the secret law of attraction principles and achieved great success. In the early 1900’s a man by the name of Napoleon Hill did a massive study on the greatest achievers the world had ever seen.  He studied each of these men over a period of several years to find out if there was a common link they all had in common. After much research and long hours he finally discovered that connection that all great leaders share.  The one thing they all had in common was they believed in the concept of you become what you think about, therefore they used it to their adventure to build the largest fortunes the world has ever seen.

I totally want to grow a business and sell it for a small fortune, and I highly believe in the law of attraction and that it will be a big part of the equation.  I’ve also found this Facebook Page a nice place for information on this topic.

How to Sell Your Online Business for Dummies

All of us in the Internet Marketing world want to make millions of dollars. Whether it’s the allure of Silicon Valley success stories from the late 90’s or just the allure of not working in some stuffy office, there is always that hope of making it “big” and “balling out of control” with riches made on the Internet.

Silicon Valley - Ehrlich
Silicon Valley is a popular show on HBO that gives people a taste of the “tech world” life.

Today, I’m going to tell you exactly how you can sell your online business.  If you build a successful business and are looking for an exit strategy, these bullet points below will help you cash out, and cash out big.

Cashing Out and Exiting from Your Internet Business

The layman may not understand that virtual property such as websites, blogs and online businesses are worth money but we web owners know better. There comes a point in every web owner’s life when they want to move on to greater and better things or just diversify their online presence into something which might be potentially more fruitful and interesting. At this point they will sell their website but it is not as easy as it sounds. More than a few steps go into it and they are detailed below.

  • Never underestimate the value of your website. It probably provides products and services to a niche or has local significance so it can be worth just about anything that someone will pay for it and more. If you need a calculating gauge then you can write down your earnings , minus the possible costs and then multiply that number with two or twelve depending on how much of a fan following or readership you have.
  • It is irresponsible and even heartless to give the operating object of your hard work to a web entrepreneur who either lacks the technical expertise to run it efficiently or does not understand its significance as an online business or as intellectual property. Take your time and maximize your gains by choosing an entrepreneur who can carry on your work and find it fruitful and rewarding in the process.
  • Even before you start looking for a new owner for your brainchild, gather all traffic related statistics that you can because they are instrumental in deciding the kind of price you are going to get. These will include anything from shares to likes, visitors, countries that use the website, local and global page rankings, search engine positions and so on. The higher your rate, the more money you can demand because all these can be translated into hardcore revenue.
  • If you have used basic hosting which did not provide you with a statistics package, you can invest in something like Awstats, or Webalizer that give updated stats and you can share them with interested parties or use these reports when you advertise (more on that later).
  • Make a point of gathering all accounts so that the new owner can get accurate estimates of what they can expect to earn and what their costs will be regardless of whether they are uploading new content or not. If they can keep up the kind of quality that you were providing before, they can retain your customers and also hope to expand the marketplace to create a greater following.
  • The best way to get a buyer is to look within your own local community first. There might be enthusiastic superstores which would be looking to expand online and add to your product catalog. You can even contact your suppliers and put forward a proposal of why having an online business would be great for their store or brand.
  • If you want a web entrepreneur who is passionate about selling online and if you do not want your website to simply be absorbed into a much bigger enterprise and forgotten about, there are a few places you can find them. Ebay has a section on buying and selling websites and there are plenty of online forums where there are potential businessmen looking for a business just like yours. They might incorporate either their own products or carry on with your suppliers. Some great forums where you can fish for suitable buyers are buymywebsite, BusinessBroker, BuySellWebsite, and eBizBrokers.  You can also go the private route and work with someone like Website Properties Online Business Brokers.

Negotiation

At some point you will find a worthy buyer and then you will need to negotiate back and forth to get your target price. Unless you have an extremely gracious person communicating with you, most buyers will point out flaws (especially in the data that you provide them) and will try to undermine the price. The most important thing to remember is to not show that you are in a hurry to sell or that you are desperate. It is a bit like playing poker.

Finalization

Concluding a deal may not be as easy as they make it out to be. Bear the following points in mind so that you emerge as a winner and do not make any expected yet embarrassing mistakes.

  • Discuss the all-important issue of money transfer beforehand to avoid awkward conversation later on. Make sure you have an established understanding with the buyer preferably in the form of paper so that they cannot attempt to scam you by sending a smaller amount and so on.
  • Although you may not need to engage a lawyer if the party you are doing business with is reliable or reputable but it is essential you insist on basic paperwork which outlines the extent of your liability, the terms under which the deal was struck, agreed payment and so forth.
  • Being a new web owner is hard so you may find you are receiving calls and emails at all hours of the night asking for technical advice or help regarding the online business you have run for so long. This cannot be avoided at first but you will be better off by specifying a period of time during which you will be available so that you are not nagged or taken advantage of unduly.
  • Make a small package of supplier information, accounting information, receipts and bills and other useful tidbits for the new owners. This should also include all important email addresses and phone numbers. This will keep them from bothering you again and again.

Conclusion

After you have received a well-deserved injection of cash, you can then go about planning new and daring projects. It is best to stick to what you are good at or what you have experience excelling in but you could break free of online businesses altogether and start a travel blog or online diary if that is what floats your boat.

Tips for Choosing a Reputable Web Hosting Company

We previously talked about how your web host effects your SEO efforts.

Today, we’re going to delve a bit more into the topic and talk about how to exactly choose a good, reputable website host.

Beach Pic
Choosing a web hosting provider isn’t always a day at the beach.

Guide to Picking the Right Website Host

Acquiring server for your expanding online business website is analogous to moving from a petit apartment into a big house. However, the foundation of the house if strong will last longer. Similarly, this foundation for a website is provided by your web hosting company by the type of package they offer.

In other words, a web hosting company provides all the essential features that ensures a growing successful website. With an uncountable number of web hosting companies, it is very important for you to choose one that best suits your requirements.

Without a web host provider, your website is going to collapse at a point where it can’t handle too much traffic anymore. Conversely, a good webhost plan can bring in lots of benefits along with assisting your website such that it only grows more productive and profitable. Some of the most important features to be considered are:

  1. Check for availability: it is important to consider the up time offered by your server. All your efforts invested are futile if your website is not available online for users to visit. However, most of the web hosting companies promises an uptime of 99.9%, so this isn’t a big deal anymore.
  2. Best uploading method: consider the uploading managers like Cpanels. Those that takes your websites ages to upload could be a big turn off for the traffic.
  3. Back up services: if your webpage is not backed up regularly, this might result in loss of essential content or data from your webpage. Some good providers offers 24 hours daily back up plans to keep your webpage updated and safe.
  4. Customer services: while some companies only offer email assistance, which could be a huge problem in case there is a technical connectivity fault and you can’t even access the email feature. It is important to consider the company that offers a 24/7 toll-free call services too.
  5. Good reputation: before considering a good web hosting company, it is the best for you to go through the company’s reviews, this will not only help you decide better on basis of people’s experiences, but also shows the reputation and reliability of a company.
  6. Security: if your webpage involves financial transactions, you need to ensure the customers of the security that is offered by the server. Customers are often hesitant to make financial transactions or sharing personal information with the webpage with unsecured servers.

If you follow those six tips, you should be setting yourself up on a path to success – rather than a nightmare experience.
